OCIABC Communicator Awards
OCIABC strives to provide lifelong
learning opportunities that give our members a professional edge.
The annual Communicator Awards
Program gives local communications professionals an opportunity
to showcase their work and receive recognition for communication
excellence.
Entries are solicited in the
spring, sent to a sister chapter for judging, and awards are presented
at the annual Communicator Awards Dinner in June.
Each entry must include a Work Plan that defines the project need
or opportunity, the solution developed, the intended audience, the
project goals and objectives, a description of implementation and
challenges faced and measurement of success.
Awards are presented in the
categories of writing, design, visual arts, publications, audio/visual
communications, electronic and interactive communications, communication
management, and communication programs and promotional campaigns.

IABC International's Gold Quill Awards
|
For more than 25 years, IABC's Gold Quill Awards
program has been the hallmark of excellence in business communication.
From the many thousands of entries submitted throughout the years,
only the most outstanding communicators have been honored with this
coveted award.
The Gold Quill Awards program is an annual international
competition which offers professional communicators an opportunity
to have their work evaluated by expert judges. Many of the judges
have themselves been recognized for excellence in communication.
Winners receive international recognition in the June/July issue
of IABC's magazine, Communication World and at IABC's International
Conference.
All Gold Quill entries chosen as finalists are considered
for the IABC Research Foundation's Jake Wittmer award for outstanding
research in organizational communication, and for publication in
IABC's resource materials.
A compilation of current and past is available from IABC. IABC members can view case studies free in the
IABC Online Library.

Bronze Beacon Awards
The annual Bronze Beacon Communicator Awards Program gives local communications professionals an opportunity to showcase their work and receive recognition for communication excellence.
OCIABC solicits Bronze Beacon Award entries each spring. The award categories range from writing, design and photography to print and electronic internal newsletters, public relations campaigns and communication management programs. Members of a sister IABC chapter judge the submissions, and they choose to award an “Excellence” or “Merit” to deserving entries. |
