We count among our members executives, specialists and staff members,
freelancers, consultants and students. Our areas of responsibility
encompass media relations, employee relations and communication,
development, graphic design, media production, advertising, marketing,
public affairs and program management and many others.
Our members hold titles such as Director of Corporate Communication,
Employee Communications Program Manager, Manager of Marketing and
Communications, Public Relations Specialist, Publications Editor
and Copywriter. Our members are seasoned pros as well as those just
starting their careers.
While most of our current membership is centered in the Portland-Southwest
Washington area, our service area includes all of Oregon and Southwest
Washington.
Our chapter mission is "to provide lifelong learning opportunities
that give our members the tools and information they need to excel
in their chosen disciplines."
The local chapter is governed by an elected board of directors.
